Default Oh no not another J's intake query....

Hey guys

Firstly, I'm a noobie, so am allowed to be a loser who asks previously asked questions....(not really, but I'm buttering you up!)

So anyhow, I am a new owner of a very nicely maintained for track AP1 in the middle east Love it to bits as I've wanted one for 5 years!!!

So when I bought the car, it came with a wrapped up ready to be fitted J's racing intake, still in the box with Jap writing!!!

It seems to be a takk.....whatso ever intake, with a large 'snorkle' and a chamber piece, along with some fitting parts.

I've read around and it seems that I may be able to fit some parts but not others etc etc without cutting my hood.

I love CF, but I am NOT going to cut my virgin hood!!

How much of this kit can I fix without cutting the hood pls?????

well really you can just use the cf intake arm and fliter....none of the snorkel is useable as it would hit the hood....if you dont want to cut your hood i would recommed selling the js intake....and just getting a cf snorkle for the stock air box...my logic behind that is with out using the snorkel with the js intake you are going to get terrible heat soak due to placement being in front of the header....

hope its ok to use this pic as its so good

I am considering selling it if I cant make it work

Also, I have a CF cooling plate already in place, which doesn't have a cut for the snorkle

I posted. Diy on how to install. Keep the intake and install it as you will love it. I love mine. But like others say of you do not want to cut your hood then ditch it

With all the dust and sand I would recommend you stay stock and sell the intake. With the money, buy other mods

opps, just saw it was for track use... Go with Snorkel

It's not really for track use for me, just that it was built by the previous owner to go on the track as well as the road

Thanks for all the comments guys, I really appreciate the help. Will keep you all updated

Check out the DIY on how to cut the hod. I know it seems like a big step, but it's only visible by people when the hood is popped. It is a very big decision, and congrats for not being rash. Think it over, the intake is very reputable and a baller piece IMO.

keep the intake, cut the hood. It will be worth it. imo.
It is only a hood. if you want to keep it oem, buy another hood and cut that one up. IMO thats a sick intake, but you would get some good coin for it if it was sold.
