Default Oil Bolt Update????

I saw a thread here somewhere that the non-US cars get some sort of different "oil bolt" and possibly the 03' US models. What's the deal with these? I am going to have my oil pan off soon for the Vortech install and should I replace mine with the updated ones? If so, does anyone know the part # and if and when in production did they start putting them? Also a good place to get them? Thanks, Phil

Many of your questions are answered here:

I, too, will put in the new bolts when I have my oil pan off for the S/C thing. Also, with a "blown" engine, it can't hurt having a higher capacity oil spray. Otherwise, I would not even bother.

xviper-thanks for the link....I work for dealer group and we have a Honda store, so I called our parts mgr. and ordered 4 of part
#15290-PCX-000, they are no longer backordered and at warehouse#80?? So I will have them in time for my S/C install. PS my employee price was $9.80/ bolt so the price from Handa at 10.80 is a good deal. Thanks a million for all your help through this "childbirth" process!!! Phil

My pleasure. Just keep us (well, me at least) updated on your "process" and your impressions when done.

VTECPHIL,
If you have a 2002 with engine serial #greater than 1025386 then you already have the updated bolts.
