what size fitting is it?.... i looked but i want to be sure if it the correct fitting or not.

 

I have a fumoto valve on mine, and find that it is easiest to lay down by the front passenger wheel and get it from underneath. That way I don't risk leaning too hard on the fender whle reaching down from above. Either way, the jack is not required. Fumoto valve highly reccomended.

 

Not sure if this is what you're asking for, but the part numbers on the fumoto site are:

F-106 for the valve itself & ADP106 for the required adaptor. It was $28.95 plus a couple of dollars for shipping. If you change your own oil, it's well worth it. It will save you a lot of time & mess.

Another good thing about the valve is that you can easily take oil samples between oil changes from your engine to send to blackstone or whoever you use if you're into oil analysis.

Question about the Fumoto valve...is the valve upright after the install? It appears that the valve has fixed threads. After the valve is tightened completely is the valve oriented as shown in the pictures on the Fumoto site, or is the valve cocked at some goofy angle at random based on orientation of the threads in the oil pan or on the valve? Additionally, the Fumoto site does not show a picture of the adaptor. How does the adaptor attach to the valve?

i had the valve but returned it. the threads are fixed so mine ended up with the lever down. it felt unsafe and i figured it very easy to take out a drain bolt. '
i don't know how ppl can reach the valve from the top. must be my muscles getting in the way
