Oil drain bolt size

Default Oil drain bolt size

Does anyone know on top of their head what is the exact spec of the S2000 oil pan drain bolt?

M12X1.25

or

M14X1.25

I am sure it is not X1.25. On an M10 that is considered a fine thread and a real PIA to find.

kind of old, but does anyone know the part number for an OEM oil drain bolt?
tried searching and came up with no luck :\

Well since you brought this thread up from the dead, I wonder if anyone knows if something like this exists in the size needed for S2000's?

I am about to install a SPA oil temp gauge and really do not want to drop the pan and tap just for a temp gauge. Neither do I want to do a sandwich plate.

Haha looks like i forgot to look at the drop down menu! M14 x 1.5

I'll try this and see how that goes! Anyone have any feedback on trying this?

so to my original question of what the drain bolt part number is, it's
90009-PY3-000 for the Bolt M14x1.5
and
94109-14000 for the washer

Does anyone know what the length of the oil drain bolt is supposed to be? The length of the oil drain bolt that was in my s2k was different than the length of the bolt I got from Honda. The one in the car was longer and I left that one in there. The one I purchased from Honda was M14x1.5x15mm (length of 15mm was measured from behind the head to end and described link below).
