Default Oil Filler Cap Missing

I got my car back from the shop on Thursday after having a new oil pan fitted. It's now Sunday and I just lifted the hood. The oil cap is missing!

Since Thursday I've probably done 150 miles. The oil is well below the XXXX's, about half an inch from the bottom of the stick. Should I be worried? What do you think?

Thanks

PS I found the cap, it had fallen back behind the engine.

Man, your having some bad luck lately. I'd check the oil once or twice a week, keep it at full. Screw that cap tight.

How many miles are on the engine?

It's just coming up to 100k. It's a bit flippin' careless of the shop to leave the cap off.

it'll be fine (after u fill it!); make them pay 4 an engine detail & the oil u used.

u have 2 bring it 2 their attention; don't want the same dude effing up again.

How do you know he left it off? You said you found it in the engine bay. For all you know, it could have blown off as many have posted before. If you couldn't find it at all, and he had it on his workbench, then you would know for sure.

Blown off? Is that possible? I've never heard of it. Surely it's more likely that the guy just didn't put it back on.
