Default oil issues

lately I've been getting random check oil lights for brief moments like making a quick U-turn. the only thing i could assume would be the problem is that lack of oil so the pump isn't getting any when it gets rushed to one side. so i checked the oil, i tend to check it 3 times a week. and it was the same as ever granted now 3k into its life its lost its golden touch and has become brownish. which is only natural. but i still have plenty of oil. i don't think I've lost maybe .5 of a quart if that.

does anyone have any info on what could be the problem?

As far as I know the S2000 only has the Low Oil Pressure Indicator.
It looks something like this:

If it lights up the color is red.
Red means DANGER!
Severe engine damage is possible.
Do not drive the car anymore until its checked out.

It is supposed to light up with the engine off (when ready to start the engine) and is NEVER supposed to light up when the engine is running.
Not at any time under any circumstances.

Low oil level may make it light up during hard cornering but still ITS NOT GOOD!

You say you checked the oil level.
How many "X" are covered in oil on your dipstick?

If the oil level was good your oil pump has a serious problem.
Not good!

He said he is .5qt low, so I will assume half qt from H. This certainly is within the acceptable range, and I wouldn't expect anywhere in the engine to be starved for oil at this level even when taking a hard corner. I've taken corners as hard as possible when down .75qt and I have never seen the oil light. So, I suspect low oil is not thr problem.. perhaps a combination of lower oil level though, and failing oil pump, blocked oil passage, or something bleeding off pressure
