People make a big deal about changing the #1 jet bolt.

In my book, it was as easy as the rest.

Swivel socket

Just want to be sure: I have an 02 and it will not see the track. I drive it on the weekends in town and sometimes on the highway. Sometimes I hit V-tec but mostly normal driving (RPM range mostly between 3-5k). Should I be concerned with upgrading the oil jet bolts?

Thanks

No. Don't bother. Honda made the change in design because of High Rev, Long duration driving in the EDM market. Well if you are going to make a change, why not do it across the board. One less part of keep track of.

#1 not that hard, if you know in advance and are armed with appropriate swivelsocket and extensions.

I'm a total hack, I didn't find it much more difficult than the others.

Question:

I've heard about this bulletin and asked a Honda dealer if it applied to my vehicle, they said no.

Does this apply to 2000 AP1 engines?

Thanks,
Erich

No it does not apply. If you car was in Euorpe it would apply. Honda has a recall for these overseas but not in the states.

Now you can update your own engine, but Honda is not going to pay for it.

I am doing the install right now and started with bolt #1. I got the bolt in and the jet clocked properly to fit the nub in the divot. My problem now is it wont tighten to the 12ft lbs it keeps going around. I am assuming it is stripped.... what now?
