Default Oil Leak ?

Well today I was making sure the oil was full and the filter was tight when my buddy noticed that there was some grime between the head and the block. Does anybody know what would cause this. I checked the fluid levels, the oil, and the coolant, all were normal. Mods are listed in my sig- could krankvents cause some much pressure that they blow the sealant out between the head and the block? It may have just been some grime so I will keep an eye on it. The car has olnly 28,000 miles on it. Anybody with some info please chime in.

Steve

krankvents prevent the pressure build up, if anything -- you can rule it out.

Normal, several threads like this in the past. My car has this too and I don't have krank vents.

could be oil leaking through pores in the head. this is common. you can rub on some JB weld if you want.

Buy some engine cleaner, spray it on a cool engine, use a stiff brush and lightly scrub, let sit for 15 min, cover alt, vtec solenoid and other electronics UTH and then spray off with a light stream of water.. your oil stains should be gone

if you're at the front of the car with the hood up, on the thing on the left side, closest to you on the valve cover, its looks like a cylinder
