I just purchased this car and noticed the maintenance light was on... the previous owner said he never bothered to turn it off and just left it alone. When i toggle the Display button to where the "Oil Life" indicator is i get this flashing light.



I try to reset it as if the Oil Life indicator was there by holding down the "TRIP" button for a solid minute but nothing happens. Normally this resets the oil life to 100%. I try to reset the "Maintenance Indicator" light by inserting the key, holding the "TRIP" and turning to "ON" but the light remains lit and doesn't shut off.

Im pretty sure that "B 1" light in the indicator is blocking me from resetting the maintenance light.

Anybody ever encounter this before? Any advice on how i can fix this? I searched and could not find anything about it. Do i have to bring it into a dealer?

Did some research... apparently since the previous owner ignored the maintenance light the "B" Service was triggered. Found this helpful youtube video which fixed the problem.
