Oil light came on..
Check oil daily. It's a race car, It's not burning oil Its shearing oil, I carry a couple of Qts at all times, keep it on the high end of the stick above the xxx's (H mark). Like Xviper said it's a tough little motor
It's burning the oil. I expect it's sucking right through the PCV system. Many other high performance honda engines (like the one in my civic) have a built in catch can on the PCV system. Kind of surprised the S2000 doesn't.
I check it every time I put gas in it though, it doesn't hurt to do it more often.

IF, (big IF) the F20C is hard on its oil, IOW shearing it down to a low viscosity very quickly, you would not necessarily burn oil.
It would just get thin
Shearing : quote from BITOG
[QUOTE]Shear stability is a measure of the amount of viscosity an oil may lose during operation. Oil experiences very high stresses in certain areas of the engine such as in the oil pump, cam shaft area , piston rings, and any other areas where two mating surface areas squeeze the oil film out momentarily . Most multigrade engine oils contain special types of additives, called Viscosity Index Improvers, which are composed of very large, viscosity-controlling molecules. As the oil passes through the engine, these molecules are permanently sheared or torn apart over time, causing the additive to lose

under braking what rpm were you at? if it was relatively low then you should be fine. have you noticed after an oil change even if you fill up the oil filter with oil and start the engine the oil light stays on for a few seconds? i think that does more damage at a cold idle of around 2000rpm with 2-3 seconds of low oil press. then your half a second of low pressure during braking, unless of course you downshifted and you were revved to like 7000rpm...
i think you will be fine!

Oh man, guys!!! In the intro forum I'm trying to remind EVERY new AP1 owner to check their oil at every fill up. These guys buy used cars and have no idea that they have to expect oil consumption.
As long-time owners, though, I must say I'm sorry to hear that you let things go like this.
Anyway, best of luck, OP.

my bad. and i had a oil change planed for the next day! It only takes one time to mess it up!
