I know I am beign totally paranoid, but here goes:

I was down 2 X's on oil after 3000 miles. (so I was halfway between H and L) when doing a hot check after a gas fill-up.

I thought I had read here that each X = 1/4 quart, so I added 1/2 quart of 10W30.

I now cannot find that post on this board, and furthermore, I found several posts that say each X = 100ml. That's about 1/10 of a quart, not 1/4. It seems I overfilled by about 300ml.

So, I checked the oil again and it's over the H by about an X and 1/2, but it's hard to tell without the X's "holding on" to the oil.

Should I worry about this? I was going to take it in for it's first oil change in about 2 weeks anyway, should I just go and do it tomorrow?

Am I just being silly?

Thanks,

You should be OK. It might be overfilled by what? 1/2 pint?

Isn't it 1 litre of oil between H and L on the dip stick?

The way you are describing the equation is seems like it's only 400ML of oil between H and L?!

So what's the answer? Is it 1L between H and L or is it really only 400-500ml for the S2000? I've always thought it to be 1 L.

It's ONE liter or about ONE U.S. quart.

Google is awesome. They need to do currency though - unfortunately it changes rather frequently.
