no there won't. 99.9999999% of the s2ks are never going to see the G's dave and I make nor would be willing to drop 3-5k for a kit that they dont need.

But I hope dave can make a sub 3k kit as then its cost effective and we'll both have them. But at 5k. Replacing engine yearly or so is better.

5K is definately to the upper end of what people would pay, but I thought that is what HE was quoted by someone else.

It seems there are more people making the transition to stickier tires.

This would be critical in a competitive situation, like Honda Challenge (don't know what the rules would have to say) or OTC where an engine failure could cost you the podium.

Proactively fitting a modification to a good engine is more desirable and time/cost effective than repeated replacement of blown engines due to the lack of a solution to the original problem.

Funny you mention that.

Dave also had tried 50wt race oil at fontana for the first time.

Is it possible that it contribututed to his failure?

The regulator can be set to any given value in the range of 60 +/- 30 psi. so a regulated max pressure of 90 is attainable.

RWD_RCKT, why not 15-50wt race oil. I regularly use and Comptech recommends 10-40wt redline.

Asura, tell me about it. It sucked having the engine die in the race. Not because i have to fix it. But, because i had a good chance at passing and beating that Vette. Hell i was thinking about how i was going to catch that spec racer.

My oil pressure is 75-80psi on throttle. It varies with RPM slightly. It is effected by viscosity (10W30 vs. 10W40) and volume of oil (if low).

The gauge also tells you if :
*you have loss of vacuum (oil cap or dipstick missing) as RWD_RCKT experienced first hand at Streets of Willow
I wouldn't mind a more sensitive gauge.
