Default Oil transfer

I've been trying to come up with an easier and cleaner method of changing my transmission and differential oils since I do it alone. The reservoir/pump system works fairly well but still not what I want. Motive Products has a brake fluid bleeder system that looks somewhat promising to accomplish my goal. I've ordered 3 of their bleeders for old VW's that I plan to use as guinea pigs. I plan to cut off the adapters and use the tank to "push' the oil into my diff/tranny. The bleeder is intended to work by adding whatever fluid you want into the tank, pump up the head space pressure with the built in hand pump, and then force the fluid out thru the dip-tube. My idea is to use a CO2 cartridge(pellet gun cartridge) via a needle valve to slowly pressurize the head space until fluid slowy flows thru the di-tube and into the tranny/diff. Once the tranny/diff is full, you just close the needle valve. By using a needle valve, you can control the flow rate easily and also CO2 will provide an inert gas instead of moisture laden atmospheric air. The tank would also have a small vent valve that open so that you can drain the tubing back into the tank once you're done. Also, no matter what fluid you are dealing with, if you want to leave some in the tank, then you could use the CO2 as an anti-moisture barrier to keep the fluid moisture free. Where I live, humidity is a big problem. Any thoughts?

Overkill for such an easy fluid change.

Exactly where is this 'overkill'? My whole aim is make this a clean and simple process for one person.

My post/description might have been overkill, but I simply wanted to be clear. When you are the ONLY person working on your car, I would think that the system that uses the least amount of 'hands' would be the easiest, cleanest, and safest. To me, safety is very important.

I have to agree on the "Overkill". I just use a hand pump, it's not like the engine oil that has to be done so often.

Just my 2 cents.

OK. I'll just make this system for my own use. I enjoy piddiling anyway. Thanks for the feedback.

Actually some of us are interested in seeing this setup. Please do keep us posted.

Thanks for the reply. Personally, I don't quite get the 'overkill' responses since the whole idea was for quick, clean, easy fluid for ONE person, but, what do I know? My other ideas work for me when it comes to a low-slung sports car maintenance. I was really looking for additional ideas to make this idea even better. Oh well. Stuff happens. Perhaps I should never offer to help.

I just squeeze it out of the bottle with a tube sticking out the top of it. When I'm done, I just have the tube and cap to rinse out before the next fluid change. I guess mine would be considered "underkill".

It's a bit messy the first time, after that it's cake.
