Default Omg Help

I was trying to take off my ignition coil cover today but those damn bolts were on toooo tight. I ended up shaving off the teeth on the bolts and I cant figure out a way to take them off now!!!!! ARGH

Which bolts, the cover's allen-type bolts or the coils 10mm hex bolts? And stripping should be an issue if you use the right sized tools

Its the hexagonal bolts that hold down the VTEC sign cover. I used 3/16 which I think was the correct size...OMG

then it wasn't the right size allen wrench.

here's a tip - try taking them off when the engine has not been turned on for hours. remember, things under the hood heat up, and expand, which makes every bolt a little bit more difficult to unscrew.

3/16ths? Isn't everything on Japanese and European cars in metric?

You may need to use a screw extractor, then replace the bolt with a new one. And yes, all nuts and bolts on this car are metric. Using a 3/16 is a no-no!

Don't feel so bad, everybody does something like at least once in a lifetime. Thank yourself for not snapping the top off a sparkplug when it's still in the hole. I hear this happens from time to time.
