Default open soft top manually?

Hey guys,

I did a soft top delete a few weeks ago on my 07. Currently, the soft top is laying down inside my house closed (the top is fully expanded) taking a lot of room. How do I open the top manually so I can fold over twice? I read that you can just push it straight back and it will fold over? I tried to but I feel like I'm forcing it. I just want to break or damage any part of it. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

On my 2006, closing without removing the motors is possible too. But it does take some force, just apply it slowly and evenly on both sides of the frame. Pushing from one side might bend the frame.
