For Owners of "Lowered" S2k

Hopefully this is the right forum.
I recently purchased an ap1 S2K with lowered suspension. After taking the wheels off, I noticed it has Tein S springs with stock shocks. Also I noticed that the inner front tires are excessively warn.
When ever I drive over roads that are not perfect (with bumps, pot holes or major road crown) my car tends to jerk to a direction caused by the imperfection of the road.
I was wondering if this is normal for lowered cars or that is due to the tires issue.

My bet is that all your problems are alignment related.
I have my car lowered with JIC coilovers and it exhibits none of those issues.
If the original owner lowered the car and then didn't change the alignment specs then the extra camber would have worn the inside of the tires.
That can also give you more toe OUT IIRC and toe out can make the car a little jumpy on rough roads.
Go get a good alignment and see if the problems don't disappear. Post what the before specs were on this thread and I am sure you will get a lot of information.

Could be a several things!
1) bad alignment (when was it last checked?)
2) Too high spring rate especially for stock shocks (stock is ~250lbs depending on MY Tein tends to be ~400lbs)
3) Too low - hitting the bump stops and bouncing

What he is experiencing is bump steer at the front of the car, not at the back, so the rear bump steer kit isn't going to help. What the car needs is alignment. The rear BSK reduces roll understeer and you do not need or want that (on an AP1) when running otherwise stock suspension and OEM tires.
All the OP needs to do to stop the bump steer he's experiencing is to get a good alignment.
The ride quality is another matter. If Mikey is right about the spring rates ... Well, consider how harsh the stock AP1 suspension is, and it's clear that stiffer springs will only make it harsher. For street use, where ride quality matters, progressive rate springs preserve most of the stock ride quality (up to a point), but with any springs (even stock springs) if the suspension is bottoming out (hitting the bump stops) then the ride will be nasty and the handling will match. With the car misaligned it's impossible to tell what else might be causing problems, but there is no reason to suspect other issues until the car has been properly aligned.
