Default p0410 code

my check engine light is on because of the p0410 secondary air system malfunction..
Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix it..

also have the code
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
(but assuming that is because i have a test pipe)

Thanks

I battled a similar CEL, P0411 for many months. Finally broke down and took it to Honda. They said the actual air pump and relay were going out. I bought a used one instead of dropping over a grand at the dealership. I haven't installed it yet to see if it fixes it, but I can post back later.

no i dont as of right now...
i used this from ep hatch.com to clear the light...

"Go to Auto-Zone and purchase a set of sparkplug defoulers. They should have a m18 1.5 threads.

You now take one of those and drill it completely thru(or grind the closed bottom off). Now after applying anti-sieze to the threads assemble the sim in this order...O2 sensor goes into the drilled out defouler, that gets threaded into the unmolested defouler, and that whole mess gets threaded into the rear o2 sensor bung.

What this does is isolate the secondary o2 sensor from direct contact with the exhaust gasses, thusly fooling the ECU into thinking there is a working cat installed. The secondary o2 sensor only measures the temp drop after the cat."

but when i did this it did clear the catalytic threshold light but the p0410 i believe was still on... then shortly after doing this my car sarted misfiring because my spark plugs were leaned out(white tips)

just by curious thought is doing that the same thing as buying a o2 sensor cell and if not where is a good place to buy those... it is worth a shot..

Isn't PO410 a blocked or wrongly routed hose and PO411 the actual pump itself? Correct me if I'm wrong I thought I read that somewhere. Are you running a turbo or sc? Did you install it? Chances are the hoses were put back in wrong or maybe aren't even there at all.
