Default P0411 Code CEL Help

Around May of this past year I got my head rebuilt due to a blown head gasket. When replacing the gasket they found that the retainers were cracked and I was lucky enough to have found that before my engine was done. When my friend put the motor back together I guess the old intake cracked from the circled part. It cracked where the hose connects but on the intake part. At first I didn’t notice it until i started hearing a hissing sound and then the CEL came up. I’ve been getting some backfiring and a bit worse mpg. I purchased a new intake hose from hondapartsnow and it should be getting here this week. Will this fix the CEL because I’m no longer getting misfires on cylinder one as I was getting before I fixed the head gasket issue, now it’s that p0411. I don’t believe I have another vacuum leak on the car and only thing I can think that is causing the cel is that ripped intake.

Thanks for anyone who responds!

I can post a picture of my actual car tomorrow since it’s pretty late right now so I added a random photo from google to show where the crack is.

The crack in that tube has no effect on the CEL.

First step is check the routing of the vac lines. If crossed, the control valve will hiss air.

I can see a wire harness stuffed behind the pulley, no good

thanks for the reply!
I believe they’re routed correctly if not mistaken. I did notice that one of the clamps isn’t even on all the way and that a clamp is missing on the part that’s connected to my intake. You can kind of see that it’s cracked on the first picture where the clamp is missing. Does anything look incorrect to you?

I can already see they are incorrect. Correct in the first pic, incorrect in the second pic. The two lines on the steel tubes are reversed.

Thers is a diagram under the hood for the vac lines. Fix them.

Yes. But you need to verify all of them. Check the underhood diagram.

I had a P0411, it was a dead ignition coil. I diagnosed it by pulling each coil one-by-one. When I pulled the wrong one the engine would nearly die (running on 2cylenders). When I pulled the right one, nothing happened (no change). I hope this helps.

It is impossible for a bad coil to set a P0411.

thank you, will try it if code doesn’t clear. The code kept saying incorrect airflow? I believe. it was a while ago at an Autozone but I just changed the lines a few hours ago and I haven’t driven the car.

After switching the two hoses, what’s the next thing to do? Just drive around and let the computer do its thing?
