Yep. The only ELD that is readily available is for different models/years. I'd wager it will work it it isn't the same shape.

The one for the S and a couple of other cars has a notched corner and has the plug side facing UP.

The one you can buy separate from Honda(38255-sna-003)/dorman(601-019)and others is squared on that corner and is meant to go in plug side down.

I just took apart the fuse panel to clean but I don't remember if the bar through the one on the S slides out. If it does you MAY be able to trim the notched corner of the S fuse panel and use the other Honda or dorman part.

Any part number on the device itself? I'm seeing "won't fit" on all Honda ELDs I looked at on line.

There is no part number for the one that fits. Not sold separate.

The part number I listed MAY work but I don't have one to try.

Here’s the ELD sensor alone not the one everyone is seeing from an actual dealership I’ve went up there and talked to them it is bolted onto the fuse box

Here is the ELD sensor and the price for it for everyone who needs it

Thanks. I don't need one but was curious. No bargain!

Says it fits my 2006.
Also says it's not available.

That ain't the part for the s2k. You can simply look at the drawing to see it's the wrong shape and in a different box.

Anyone actually find a replacement ELD for the S2000? Its insane that this doesn't exist and it seems hard to buy the whole fuse box even.

I tested the voltage at the connector and its all good and still getting this P1298 code so I think I have to get a new one...

Im trying to pass smog here in GA and it seems like having this code active is preventing me from passing since all of the emissions monitors set but my scanner still says no pass...
