im pretty sure the cause of the cel code p1456 i keep throwing is due to a bad gas cap. anyone know the cheapest place to find a replacement and do i have to get one from honda or is a replacement for like auto zone or napa or something work just fine?

usually every time before i leave it tighten the gas cap. i have a code reader and so i just delete the code. i probably should get a new gas cap but was it the cap or filler neck that had to be replaced?

i think its just the cap. seems to be the mechanism that clicks is messed up cus it keeps loosening itself up after a day or two if left alone

can be a cap, could also be many other parts...go to your dealer and have them run an evap test if the cap fails to fix the issue

If you are going to replace the cap, only buy an OEM one. The aftermarket caps are horrible about leaking.

thanks but looks like for once the local stealership will actually be cheaper due to shipping/handling costs.
