Default Passenget window wont go up

Well I read through the old topics... But this is different from any other. I installed Rick's 4.57's today and installed the yellow box aswell. I hooked up the power for the yellowbox( to test it) to the passenger window fuse and plugged it back in. I started the car to see if the speedo would work correctly(its does), but as soon as I started the car, the passenger window went down immediatly. It now will not roll down from the driver's side- though it will go up from the driver's side.... It will go up and down from the passenger's side switch

When trying to roll up the window from the driver's side i hear a "click" from the underside of the pass. side of the dashboard...

Fuses are good, and lock switch isn't on either.... any help?

first i'd pull the yellow box out to be certain you didn't improperly cut a wire, and cross a wire somewhere. check those connections. i'm a little confused as to what/why you exactly did, so if i'm on the wrong track here i apologize.

Wire was cut just right... blue/white wire... no other wires were involved...

Window also goes down when top is going down too...

Probably the child safety lock on the driver's door.

This is just a WAG, since I know nothing about the yellow box module - verify that the switch for the power windows is not disabled by the rocker switch on the driver's side armrest.

That's easy to check. Otherwise, I would suspect an error in installation or a faulty yellow box module.

I'm sure it has something to do with you taking power from the window circuit. There are 3 unused power take-offs at the fuse panel. One of these is hot with ignition. This is the one you should have used for the YB.
Power windows can sometimes reverse polarity in their wiring during the normal functioning of the system. It's always a bad idea to use such circuits to power stuff.

BTW, twohoos was not mocking you. This is a very common mistake that catches a lot of people.

Lock rocker is in the on position... but window will not roll down from drivers side switch...

(I thought Twohoos was being a smart@ss with "child safety lock" thinking that he meant it as a "door lock" not a window lock... apoligies

Anyone with a wiring diagram?

No wiring diagram, but here is a fuzzy picture of where you can tap for power:

I have a red, yellow and red wire going to those terminals. It's the bottom one you need.
