PC680 battery -- cannot be right?
A local member got stuck with a replacement unit several years ago (retailer would not refund cash) so I bought it and it has been excellent thus far.
I replaced my Optima yellow top with a 17 lb Braille. My yellow top was working fine and I don't have anything bad to say about it, but I liked the 12-13 lb savings, and the Braille has more cranking power. It has worked flawlessly in 2 years of service. In two years of use it still tests out at 495 CCA, it has an advertised CCA of 475, pretty good IMO.
The only thing you have to be careful with is using power when the vehicle is turned off - cranking the audio with the vehicle shut down - once they run dead they are difficult to bring back to life.
My Braille weighs less than my cat lol . The only thing better IMO would be a lithium battery but I'm quite happy with the Braille (lead AGM battery). They have even smaller batteries but the 17 lb is a nice balance between CCA and capacity.

Posts 11, 12, 13 & 14 show the varied on-line reputation -- such as on many other products.
Once it arrives, other than resetting the radio security code, any other caveats beyond hooking it up and driving off?

I chose the Optima, and have to admit, the OEM battery was working fine so the new one sat in the garage for TEN MONTHS or so before I saw a weather forecast for truly cold weather, and installed it over the weekend. Got lucky, the old battery never failed.
