Default PCV valve, all the same.

It's that time to replace the PCV valve, so i go and they want around 24.95 for a pcv valve, i thought it was pretty pricey.

i got one at autozone for 3.50, it looks exactly the same, just wondering if anyone had bad experienes with non oem ones

thanks

It's pretty rare for one to go bad. I'd bet there is nothing wrong with your OEM one.

Actually, its not rare for them to go bad, and should be check at each oil change (assuming you are doing Honda recommended oil change intervals). If the PCV gets stuck closed, its bad news.

stuck PCV can be cleaned, it is nothing but a floater and of course gets stuck from dirt and what not so it can be cleaned, but why bother when you can get one for 5 bucks.

In almost 10 years of working on Hondas, I can count on 1 hand how many have failed or stuck closed. I'd consider that rare.
