Default People w/Comptech sway bars help.....

I am interested in getting the comptech sway bar kit (not the adjustable one) and was hoping people that have them already can answer this question. I know they use urethane mount bushings and come with teflon tape and grease. Has anyone experienced any kind of sqeeking coming from the bushings? for example when going over a speed bump. if you have not how long have you had it on and which did you use the tape or grease? thanks

Mine have been on my car for about a year and a half, no squeaking or any noises from the sway bar. Comptech installed them and they used the tape.

I've got just the front bar on - only had squeaking once, and wd-40 cured that one. Since then (months ago) no issues whatsoever. And I really dig the bar on the car. Settles the rear quite a bit.

If you want a set of comptech bars, let me know (512.947.1729 or email/PM), I can get it to you for 369 shipped to your door. Thanks!

I bought the set and only used the front bar. I installed it myself and used the supplied bushings, polyurethane grease and teflon tape. No squeaking at all. The handling is much better...less snap oversteer. I think it was well worth the money.

I don't think anyone out there wants just the rear sway bar, but I have one that I want to get rid of, cheap.

I need to add that I also only use the front bar with the stock rear bar. I used to have the comptech rear on but it was too stiff. With the stock rear and comptech front it seems to have allowed the car to be better planted in the rear when driving agressively.

so am i correct in understanding that most people use only the front bar? would using both bars make the car handle worst?

I don't know all of the ins and outs of having one or both bars, but it is my understanding the stiffer front bar will INCREASE understeer and decrease the tendency of the rear end to break loose. With both stiffer bars, the handling is a little better but you still have essentially the same steering feel as stock.
