Default The plan so far - critiques and suggestions wanted...

We've amassed a pile of parts for our arriving-not-soon-enough 2003 S2k... on the performance end of things, we've got the following parts waiting for the car :

1) Comptech Supercharger
2) Comptech Header
3) Comptech Lightweight Flywheel
4) ACT HD Clutch/Pressure Plate
5) Hondata Intake Gasket
6) Lightweight Waterpump Pulley

I'm purposefully avoiding an exhaust for the moment till we pin down what we're doing about a diffuser/rear body kit. Suspension mods, new wheels/tires and some brake upgrades are in the works already.

What would you add to the above list of performance parts? I was thinking of a VAFC and then having it tuned at one of the shops outside of D.C. - I don't think there's a dyno in the entire state of Delaware. We've got a decent budget to play with; so long as the cost of the car + mods doesn't surpass the sticker price on the M3 CiC I sold to get the S2K, I won't catch any crap.

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

Thermostat, fan switch, radiator cap and vented hood to help keep things cool. Coastal Metals front splitter. PowerFlow throttle body. Colder spark plugs. X-brace. Racing seat.

What are your thoughts about the difuser? Science of Speed's is nice, but beyond my budget. Do you know of others?

I was looking getting @ the Mugen hood/wing as well as their thermostat, switch and oil/radiator caps (we went spoon on the RSX). The dyno on the Powerflow TB looked decent, and it's only $155... good idea. X-Brace is slated to be the new Comptech unit...

Not sure on the diffuser yet - maybe the Top Secret one, or I could fabricate it. No reason the stuff couldn't be made out of fiberglass, and I've got a fair amount of experience with that.

VAFC's almost a "must-have"...

uhh if you want to do things right I would look into an AEM EMS or another type of a engine management system.

Not knocking Comptech in any way, I would swap their blower out for the Vortech kit. Call the boys at Evolution and they'll take good care of you!

I looked at the Vortech kit... I opted for the Comptech kit because it seemed less invasive (based on both kits' install instructions), its been out longer, and the fact that the Comptech kit pulls numbers close to that of the Vortech, but without the aftercooler.

The other HUGE factor was that I managed to get my dealer to sell me the Comptech parts through their parts/service department, and they're installing it when the car arrives. If any warranty issues arise, they sold it and they installed it - they have to stand behind it.

11 -12 lb wheels will give a noticeable boost in performance.
