i had the same problem except that after the engine was nice and hot, well beyond 3 bars on the temp guage, there would be no problem at all. the problem ended up being that the pin that aligns the cam plate to the cam was bent slightly. cams were off for valve retainer replacement and i think it got bent when i placed the cams on the ground.

part #26 is what i replaced.

my problem was that if the engine was NOT completely hot, not just 3 bars on the temp guage but hot from running for at least an hour, it would throw a p1361 code at higher rpm (it was usually around 7K) and go into limp mode untill the next key cycle.

if you did a seach you should have came across this thread https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=145536&st=0

it was the same thing on turbo pwr's car. the pin was slightly bent and caused the cam plate to be off just enough to throw off the cam/crank sensors readings/pickups.
