Default PLEASE HELP! Hondata Gasket Q

Hi guys.

I'm planning on doing the Hondata gasket install this weekend, but have a quick question that I couldn't find an answer to anywhere.

What are the washers for in this pic?

I don't have those. Are they needed? If so, are they something I should be able to pick up at a local parts store?

I don't see them in this pic (unless they're behind the actual gasket)

I've read through all the install instructions as well as all the threads pertaining to the gasket install I could find, and no where are they mentioned.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated

You do not need those washers and I have never seen them before!
Also Label your hoses coming off the side of the manifold - I know of at least 2 people that have accidentally switched the coolant/Vaccum hose behind the throttle body and use blue locktite on the mani bolts.

That's what I was hoping

It kinda looks like they're behind the gasket in the second pic, but I gather that's just the studs.

Thanks Ztec.

I certainly don't want any coolant getting into cylinder #4!

Those washers are to keep heat from transfering from the bolts to the manifold. I had them and used them. You should probably use them as well. They also do crush a little when you torque the bolts down. But don't worry about it. And don't forget to use blue Locktite on all the bolts and nuts on the manifold. Oh, one more thing, I was unable to use the washers on the 2 outer nuts due to the studs being too short.
