What was your dtc or check engine light? A faulty TPS can cause some issues since the ecu is getting mixed input.

i just tried to switch out the map sensor with someone elses and it didnt
get any better.. The check engine light was for a throttle positioning sensor but that was awhile ago as of today it has no check engine light. It sounds like i might have an exhaust leak if the leak was big enough b4 the cat and the 02 sensor was getting a wierd reading would that cause an issue?

I think it would be rare for the tps to be faulty, I've seen those things go hundreds of thousands of miles without issue. Are you sure you read the code right, was there other codes with the one you read as the car can throw multiple codes on a misfire. I'd suspect bad coil or injector first, those are more typical, followed by a bad map sensor or sparkplug. Reading a code is the first step to diagnosing the location of the problem, it would be hard to help you any more than this without knowing more info.

Misfires trigger codes very quickly though, sometimes even before you feel it, if you were misfiring regularly you would think it would spit out lots of codes and CELs.

I'd pull the plugs and have a look.

even while its cutting out and bogging down it wont throw a code...the only code it threw b4 was the tps sensor and the other code was for secondary air injection which is nothing except for my emissions pump thing will do though check plugs and i thought coils were supposed to last a long time?

a loose plug will cause some issues, lots of guys have found loose plugs on their engines, oil gets blown up into the coil and can create havoc. But your issue could be a number of things.

Sounds like a spark issue. Pull the plug cover off and start the car and unplug each coilpack one at at time. If the engine sputters worse its not that cylinder but if there is no change then you've found your missing cylinder

Could be injectors. But, I am pretty sure you would get a misfire code(I just fixed this issue)

I had misfires on all cylinders, but the car would run fine, just rough down low.

Weird that you have no codes.
