Hi, guys I am thinking that if we can heat the food in the engine bay while driving the car to the track in the morning, so we can eat hot food in the morning when we arrived on the track. So the benefit of S2000 is that it only closed to radiator and should not touch any oil, so should be a safe way. usually a oven warm is about 200F, and engine bay should be around that. or just placed onder the vented area of bonet for cooler temp to prevent from overheating (like zip tie on it ).
Mythbusters did a funny thing on this. Cooked a thanksgiving dinner while driving. They measured and found parts of the engine bay that had suitable temps for various items and did it lol.
Better idea...pipe your exhaust through the middle of a smoker and put your meal in it. We ran against this team some 10-12 years ago....they ran all morning and then, when the food was done, they parked the car and ate their BBQ.
I know what you're going to ask...yes, that's a giant air brake on top and yes, that's an exhaust rain flap. And yes, they're both awesome.
An old GI trick. Back in C Ration days (tin cans) reheating on the exhaust manifold was the way you got a hot meal. I remember a guy who forgot to open the can and had to clean an engine bay of scrambled eggs that exploded...
Make sure the food container is strongly secured and well-sealed (but maybe vented?) The food will bounce around inside and will make a huge mess if you're not careful! It should also be easy to remove for when you go on track.

Sealed cans create big food bombs lol! I once threw a very old large can of peaches into a bonfire. Pretty much forgot about it, until we started hearing this metal fatiguing sound. The ends of the cans had bowed out so it was then the shape of a capsule! We backed away and when it popped it sounded like a shotgun going off and blew embers and boiling liquid a good ways
