Default Possible solution for our axles...

I've contacted DriveShaftShop.Com on what it would take to build some stronger axles for our cars and possibly getting a discount/group buy if we had enough people order them. Right now, they have questions back to us and we have "NO" prices on possible group buys yet! If everyone (anyone who's had or hasn't had problems) could take the time to answer the following questions, I will compile them and send the info off to DriveShaftShop.Com:

1. at what power level do you have trouble, what would you like the axles to
handle.
2. what is the most common break
3. what is the least common break.
4. are the cars being used for drag or other racing (rally, road ect.)
5. how large a slick are they using
6. do you have broken axles you an send me to get measurments ?
7. do you have a spare drive shaft to send me for the same.

1. 300-500 WHP
2. Not sure
3. Not sure
4. Drag and Road.
5. Street Tires
6. No.
7. Possibly. We've had a few owners who are close to Driveshaft Shop offer to drive up there and let them measure their axles.

1. Stock power, lowered car
2. Inner CV's (particularly the driver's side)
3. Dunno
4. Street driving, some mountain driving, and a bit of track time
5. Stock tires
6. Yes, if they hook me up, I have a complete pair of axles with worn inner CV's that I can send them.
7. The driveshaft (or what Honda calls the propshaft) is the only part of my drivetrain I have not had fail on me - I see no need for strengthening here.

PS - Marty at Raxles already looked at my axles and did nothing for me, so if I send my axles off to driveshaftshop, I'd like to get back something more than a bill for shipping and a thank you note.

change #5 to 275/40/17 hoosiers. They provide a bit more grip than any street tire I broke an axle out of the splines in the CV by launching with stickies and the tires didn't break loose.

I never got (or asked for) a detailed description but from what I remember it was the CV joints.

Reverend,

If I pay for shipping, will you send them to DriveShaft Shop for inspection? Or can I buy the broken axles from you?
