preference
Most produce very little gains if any. Not worth the $$ usually.
Exhaust note is preference. I know guys that run Spugen and love it. (Too loud for me)
I, myself would get a Mugen if I were in the market. It's pretty quiet and gives you weight savings. Cost is up there (1200, it is Mugen!)
The biggest gain you'll get is actually a loss-(weight reduction). Usually around 12-15lbs. So if you are into weight savings this is certainly a good start.

most gain is consistently the Amuse R1 Titan single (or is it R1000? *shrug*), which shows a few extra horsies. the biggest thing is the loss of weight, with the stock system weighing in over 50 pounds, and less than 10 pounds for the high-end titanium singles...which also are really expensive, and really loud. It's been said before...this car already has top end, it needs midrange, so look for that in N/A mods.

hehe it's R1000. i do it all the time too cuz i used to have a R6.
and the R1000's are great exhausts and the price proves it. i love their sound, but not real fond of the look. my personal choice is comptech. still a few horsies gained, but i loved the stainless steel look. sound is real subtle on the low end, but when i park in my garage at work, i can set off a few alarms at about 3k RPM. it's not obnoxiously, but i think it certainly sounds like more than a 4 cylinder and is much, much better than that freakin' kid with the folder's can for a pipe!
