Default Preloading

I installed the Eibach Pro Kit a couple of weeks ago and now have some front rubbing issues. Also installed some 17 wheels. After installing the springs I put a jack under the lower arm and was looking to raise if off the jack stands before torquing everything down as advised in previous threads. The suspension was tucked in the wheel well pretty good but it never lifted off the jack stands and I was afraid of breaking something if I continued lifting the lower arm so I stopped and torqued. The manual says place a jack under the lower arm, raise the suspension to load the weight before tightening to the specified torque values. Could I have done some damage by really tucking the suspension in the wheel well, should I redo it with not so much preload, or just leave it alone.

Thanks

Might want to get an alignment, it might help with the rubbing but the Pro Kit is only a 1" drop and I haven't read from anyone with this kit regarding rubbing.

Question: What size rims/tires did you install

i asked this question before and it never got answered...

i do not believe bushings can dictate height. AND preloading only prolongs the life of a bushing. i'm no engineer and this is strictly opinionate. i'm looking for discussion though.

if you can move a connection point attached by a bushing with such little force, what makes people believe it can alter ride height before ripping/spinning?

my friend had this kit also and he caught his fender. i know for a fact his bushings were not preloaded either. your shocks might be going/gone though

by any chance, is your driverside lower than your passenger side by chance (with nobody in the vehicle) ?
