Default Primary 02 sensor might be bad(1 in the header)

ECU threw a code: P2A00

Done my research and seems to be a common problem with '06+ s2k's.

Wondering whether I can replace this sensor with an 02 Air/Fuel sensor for any year S2k or whether it has to be an '04+ or '06+ sensor?

In the same boat they are really Pricey

The 05 and under aren't a wideband sensor and the 06 + are

So now thats one answer.

Now where to get a cheap replacement??

Maybe someone on the board has a used one they could sell you. An element broke in the catalytic converter broke and broke off the tip of the 02 sensor but I was able to get a used one from a member and I was back in business for less than the cost of the new parts. 36k mi later and it's still holing up well.

^^ I had that happen as well around 20k miles and both my cat and secondary 02 sensor were replaced under warranty. Now my primary sensor is bad, apparently.

Not as bad as $300+ the dealer charges but still a nice chunk of change for a sensor...

Hey out of curiousity was this a result of a recently installed (using that term loosely) Flashpro?

No, this is more of a result of getting a flashpro and loading the toda tune(a/f ratios dropped in the 10's) and then Mugen header, intake, exhaust tune(a/f ratios dropped in the 9's) and running the toda tune for 2 days or so which probably killed the sensor while running too rich.

That's what you'd think, except I don't quite think that's quite the whole story. There's a thread about this in the Hondata forums; its happened to people just flashing the stock tune

i think that sensor is much more durable to be "killed" just over few dasys by rich mixture.
