Default PRM Question...

Hey guys, I've got a PRM coming that I bought from a board member.

He said he forgot to ship the big hose that connects to the intake / top of the block.

He thinks that the stock hose MIGHT fit.

Can anyone confirm this? If it won't fit can anyone tell me what size (length and diameter) hose I need to go buy?

THanks!

Why not just ask him to ship the missing hose at his expense? Unless you bought half an intake I don't see why this should be acceptable to you.

I don't have the measurements of the PRM piece though, sorry.

He was up front and honest, said he would pay for the cost of the hose. Probably cheaper for me just to buy one then have one shipped, I'm in Canada.

It's not a hose. The PRM comes with an aluminum tube that is strong enough to support the weight of the filter canister, filter and velocity stack.

I misunderstood. (That's why I like pics.)

Use the hose that was/is on the valve cover. Measure the OEM hose, or take it with you to the parts store.

I don't know if I remember the right size, but I think I used 9/16 inch ID tubing.

You might want to measure the fittings on the valve cover and intake, I think the one on the intake was larger than the one on the valve cover.

I took out the metal tubes, so mine might look slightly different.

do what pete said, if you have home depot;s or lowes then theyll have the tube. make sure you try and get high temp cause it connects to the valve cover which gets a bit hot.

I'm sure he means the large diameter (about 3"), short (about 3" also) piece of silicone hose that connects the large aluminum tube to the engine. Don't care to take mine apart to measure, but my first one was stolen by someone that just cut through that hose (guess they didn't have a screwdriver to just loosen the clamp) and took the unit. Curious that that's the part you are missing also.
