Default Problem with jdm engine swap?

My mechanic is almost done with my engine replacement. We ran into a couple of problems. one is everytime he resets the ecu the code po410 comes out which means some thing is wrong with the air pump specifically the air pump relay. Does anyone know what can be wrong.

The other proble is with the vtec solenoid. On the usdm engine it has a a plug, but the jdm engine does not. So is it good if i just swap the jdm for the usdm, and if so will it have any after effects?

about the cel code,

i have a spoon ecu and it throws that cel code also...its something that the spoon ecu (being jdm) looks for in the japanse cars, but i guess its not on the american version. my car runs and pulls nice, no problem kickin into vtec either.

i was weirded out when i got the cel, but after reading a few threads posted here, it was common when converting to a spoon ecu.

JDM motors don't have a VTEC oil pressure sensor otherwise you won't be able to VTEC and you'll get a CEL

For the air pump issue...check to make sure you don't have reversed the small vacuum lines that run to the tubes under the fuel rail.

Is that an immobilizer issue??? You may need the key that goes with the JDM ECU.
