Default Product Review

At first I was kinda skeptical about buying it, but I figured since they are a paying vendor that advertises on S2ki so what can it hurt? I doubt it will give me the claimed 35HP but maybe it will increase mileage.

Just got it in the mail today and I opened it up and read the directions. Pretty straight forward, just pull the intake off of the intake manifold and the unit goes between the two.

Its a tiny little propeller, almost looks like a larger impeller blade off of a turbo. The way its supposed to work is incoming air swirls the blades to create a vortech of of incoming air to the intake manifold for increased air fuel mixture resulting in more power and better gas mileage.

Next I started the car. IT didnt sound any different, I thought maybe as a side benefit I would get a simulated "whine" kind of like a supercharger but no dice.

Next was a test drive. WOW The darn thing didnt do anything !!! No performance gains, no better mileage!!!!! I'm pissed heres a link to the Tubonators FAQ page...

Slamming a genuine product from a renowned vendor will not be tolerated here. Since I have this device on my car and have dynoes to prove at least a 36.2 HP gain, I must insist that you retract your post.

I just went to read the installation manual for my Turbonator. I think I know why you didn't get any gains. There is an "Australian" installation. You need to check to see if you mounted the thing on backwards. You see, the Aussies mount the little propellers backwards. Like how their toilets' whirlpool in the "other" direction from ours, we must ensure that all such devices that produce hydrodynamic vortices be installed in the "N. American" direction. Reverse it and I'll bet you'll see the huge gains that I saw.
