"The Project"
Thought Id throw together a post for my progress of my car.
I have owned 4 S2000's and my GPW has by far been my favorite and the most heavily modded S2K I have owned.
Clutch Install
Here we go...

Intake removed, Unbolting the AC, loosening the Alternator, Disconnecting Sensors.. Lots to do before you can even think about touching the tranny...

Mugen Header being removed... Careful Brandon!

Mugen Header Removed... Dont worry I kept it in a safe spot!

Getting the Custom Mugen Sub Frame Jack ready...

No pictures of us lowering the Sub Frame bolts but these things are huge! we had to lower them 3 inches to drop the whole motor and tranny... scary stuff to see for the first time!
Motor Dropped 3 inches...

Removing the center counsel and shifter.. got to really lube the shifter sucker up when it went back it!

Get the tranny jack in place!

Stock Clutch and Fly Wheel

New Clutch and Fly Wheel waiting to be installed....

Custom made Nik Stig and Mugen spec Clutch Alignment tool! Not sold in stores!

Everything installed waiting to be put back together...

Getting the tranny bolted down...

Time to
Reinstall the Drive Shaft with new bolts! (Thx for letting me know I need new ones)
Jack the sub frame backup, torque all the bolts to the correct spec.
Reconnect all the tranny sensors
Reinstall headers, Intake, Headers, Test Pipe
Bolt down the AC, Alternator
Motor back to normal height

Everything went back together with no issues, Brandon wanted to test the clutch while the car was jacked up in the air, So I hopped in and turned it on, had an EPS engine light on (forgot to hook up one sensor) I go to let the clutch out and the car starts to stutter... I am thinking in my head that something is ****ed up and he is looking at me like something is wrong... Find out I left the E Brake on (my bad) I guess that's what happens when you don't drive your S for 24 hours...
Go out drive it around and it feels great, Stock pedal feel but its a pretty intense engagement. Definitely and all or nothing kind of clutch, It will take some time to get use to but I could tell right away I really enjoyed it. The lighter Flywheel makes a huge difference in how fast the car revs up and down now.
Came back and bled the clutch and installed the SOS steel clutch line.

All said and done really glad I got to do this job myself. I learned so much about my car and I feel much more confident wrenching on it.
Big Thanks to:
Brandon, Without you I would have been lost for a long time looking at my computer and the manual on how to do this!
The Watkins family, Thank you for all your help and workspace and tools. PS I love your Jack Stands...

And
Science of Speed --> Thanks for the Clutch, Flywheel, Hood Dampeners. Really looking forward to installing the SC very soon!

nice pictures! dont worry the SOS install will be easy! its mostly putting parts together then you mount it. look me about 13 hrs in 2 days. i also made sure everything was nice and tight. once i started the car up again the only thing i found bad was one of the clamps of the in hose for the coolant was leaking a bit. all i did was tighten it and it went away.

Looks good! I ran a competition clutch stage 2 and its been working out pretty good. Does that clutch have any clutch buzz? On decel? That's the only complaint I have. But I can't hear it anymore with the ur exhaust.
I hope you got kpro with your kit. You'll love it!

good job on not hacking the knock sensor wire.. and getting to the upper starter bolt. did you end up swinging the alternator to the side or not?
and also. did you take off the sway bar brackets?
