Pulled a head stud threads on timesert.

Default Pulled a head stud threads on timesert.

I had a machine shop instal a timesert on one of the head stud threads. W


hile torquing at 60ft lb timesert let go. Anybody had experience with this before? Anybody has used a bigsert which is the next step up? What kit did you use or what machine shop. I am in Illinois. Thank you in advance

Wow! I've only used Time-serts on BMW heads. They were all successful.

Did the shop use the proper cylinder head kit?

I’m not sure what kit they used, I had a friend drop off the block at the machine shop. Might have to order bigsert kit.

Do you have any recourse with the shop, to get the problem fixed?
