Default Purpose of small green wiring harness under drivers dash

hey guys,
So some low life POS broke into my s2k a few days ago and ripped it all to hell. can someone tell me what the small green harness shown in the phot is supposed to be used for? I found it hanging just forward of the central drivers side bottom dash panel, under the steering column. I believe it had 6 ports, but only had 3 wires connected.

While they were busy under the dash trying to rip apart my hardwired V1 and remote display, I noticed the harness was hanging down loose, Since I cant currently get into the car for a few more days, Im not sure what system it is part of under there (if any), and I would like to know whether their intentions were actually to try to steal my entire damn car from right in front of my house, or was this harness just a connector to something incidental that was ripped out as a result of their desire to try to get some of the hardwired accessories I have installed over the years in my S.

Thanks for the help.

i think my s has an extra connector like that but my radio controls are deleted so it maybe for that. but anyways, if ur cruise button/radio controls/start button/hazard lights/and i believe 2 larger connectors on each side of steering column are all hooked up, then that is probably extra.
