Question about alarm systems
I am going to install an alarm in my car, where is the best place to buy one? What brands do you reccomend and with what options. I have heard from various board members that Clifford is a good bran are there any others. Are there any web sites that sell the alarm systems at a good price?
Thanks,

I don't recommend installing the alarm in your car yourself. Go to a shop and have it done. It saves alot... ALOT of time plus in most cases, they give huge discounts on the alarm if you buy it together with the labor. I guarantee it will cost at least double if you buy the alarm online and try to pay a third party to install it.
I had a Viper so I recommend that. Worked perfect in the 2 years I kept my last car. Even had a snazzy little window module that would rollup the windows when it was armed.

i'm having an alarm installed saturday. i chose a neat model made by clifford that uses any oem keyless entry system so you can keep your honda remote. it hooks up to the door lock circuit and offers all the same features as their other alarms in the $200-$300 price range. if u park in suck places figure out something else to disconnect or pull easily in the car to prevent starting usually electrics like important fuses etc. i think you can never be 100% but u can up the stats in your favor.
