Default Question about clutch delay valve

I was wondering if anyone knew if the delay valve on the 2004 clutch affects the response when you depress the pedal or just when you let it out?

The delay valve only works when you let out the clutch pedal to engage the clutch.

It has a one way valve that allows the full fluid flow to get into the slave cylinder when you depress the clutch to disengage it, but then when you let out on the pedal to engage the clutch the valve closes and restricts the fluid flow coming from the slave cylinder. If you have or can look at a service manual from 2004-2005 check out page 12-5. Hope this helps!
