Default Question About Cutting

I am about to get my bumper back tomorrow from paint
But first want to check with a few that Have done the AP2 Front end conversion.

Who has cut the support beam? I remember reading the official 04 conversion and he didn't do it.

Some one please help me out. I have cut tested and re-tested and have now cut around 3/4 of a inch with no rubbing.

Why would you cut the bumper support ?????!!!!!

The ap2 bumper is the exact same shape as the ap1. The only difference is the plastics dont line up and you need to make your own holes to secure them.

The steel beam (bumper) definitely needs to be trimmed a little, or the edges will eventually poke through the bumper cover and deform it. Looks pretty ugly

No its not

and what are you talking about making holes
I already have the bumper on and it requires not hole drilling
get your facts straight
He's referring to the lower fender liner holes and he is correct, I have done this, did have to trim the corners off, and thought I would wait to permanently attach my ap1 liner in anticipation of ordering an ap2, now I have to as a few screws didn't hold and at around 95mph the wind yanked it into the wheel which proceeded to drive over it ripping it from the car and rippling my fender. awesome. Not to mention it wrapped around a minivan behind me.
