Do the Koni yellows have an adjustable spring perch? I have had two cars with Koni Yellows and they have two notches for ride height adjustments and I was wondering if the same feature is available for the S2000

yes... one for stock and one for 1/2 inch lower

So you would use the "1/2 inch lower" setting when installed on an S2000 lowered on springs correct?

 

two settings for the spring perch... stock and 1/2 inch lower. lowering springs will just add to the drop.

 

well, my plan is to use H&R Sport Springs with Koni Shocks.. but I want more lowering than the .75in the front and .6 in the back... so thats where the Konis come in... This way, I keep the compliant ride of the sport springs with the lowering of a race spring.

I did this with an old car that I had (99 Civic Si) and I loved it... best aftermarket suspension I ever had on any car.. (Ive had: 96 Civic CX (<RSR Springs and KYBs> ,99 Jetta VR6<Bilstein Sports, H&R Race Springs, ABD sway bars>, 01 Celica GT-S<Progress Springs and Koni shocks>, 99 Turboed Civic Si <H&R Sport Springs, Koni yellows, Mugen sway bar>, 01 GTI VR6 <H&R Sports, then Race, Bilstein Sports, Neuspeed sways>

Of note, in the GTI VR6 I had H&R Sport and H&R Race... the race springs had a NOTICEABLY stiffer ride... it was borderline with the 18s... knowing how stiff the suspension is on the S2k with the 16s... I want to do it right since I dont want a rock hards suspension with the 18s...

iCEE: What is your current setup (ie lower perch or stock perch? Springs? etc.) do you have a larger picture of your ride?

I was going the same direction with this. I have the kg/mm super sport springs already installed and while I'm happy with the look, I was hoping to get an even better ride quality from adding koni yellows as compared to the existing stock shocks. So does dropping to the lower perch actually lower the car more or does it merely alter the geometry of the setup?

kgmm race on the koni's stock perch. the drop is a little more than 1.25 inches so far.

 

Nosman: HAH.. no worries... I wouldn't have thought so anyways... I would only worry about "threadjaking" when I have something for sale and someone comes in and offers the same thing at a lower price or something...

Anyways, we are all trying to gain info here...

So.. yes, by positioning the perch on the lower setting, it will lower the car by the distance that the lower perch is from the higher perch.... in this case... iCEE is saying that its about 1/2 inch, SO, if I want the H&R Sports, I will get 1.25 lower in the front and 1.10 in the back... as supposed to .75 in the front and .60 in the back for the springs only...
