wow, 3.5" pulley...what kind of boost can I expect from that...after the intercooler takes its toll.

If i go with the 3.5" pulley, does that mean I will have to get a new fuel pump...or should the one I have be able to handle that? With that small of a pulley, anything else I might need to consider before I hook it up?

Will the internals be ok, I won't be getting on it often, maybe a few interstate runs here and there.

I'll have:
new injectors (550cc)
AEM EMS
guy that knows what he's doing, tuning the car.

If you have the comptech fuel pump all should be fine with the fuel delivery.

What's the smallest pulley you can go before Emanage or VAFC? Thanks.

OK, anyone else? I want to upgrade but I don't want to spend another grand for AEM EMS. So I am cheap bastard.

... you think Comptech left some in there for the taking? .....or maybe they didn't think of the idea of a smaller pulley

I wouldn't say that. You're obviously happy to rebuild your engine when it goes.

Guys, if you're going to mess around with smaller pulleys please use some engine management. You spent big bucks on the car and quite a load on the SC and now you want to boost it more but are too cheap to spend money on engine management?

I'm not as harsh as RT. As far as I'm concerned minimum entry point is an E-manage and larger injectors. Ideal is the AEM.

Yes you are. The horsepower increase, driveability, the smoothness, the absolute control over so many parameters and the engine longevity with the AEM EMS is worth thousands of dollars. The AEM EMS is the cheap way to go in the long run and the smart way to go in the short term. Bite the bullet and with the AEM EMS add twenty or so hp without increasing the boost and then when you increase the boost you can do it safely. You will probably need new injectors if you go with the 9 lb pulley and the AEM EMS will allow the change to anysize injectors. I'm installing the new RC high impedance 750s and you might consider the 650s.
