Default Questions reguarding a '06 DBW engine into a '03.

Hey wassup guys, my engine screwed up on me, so I decided to put in a new one rather then rebuilding my old engine. I stumbled upon a good deal on a extremely low milage '06 F22 DBW engine and couldn't pass it up. I brought the engine home without ever doing any research and thinking that the only thing I had to do was switch out the intake manifold. After reading posts on here, I now know the work that needs to be done but I noticed there wasn't any threads about getting the engine to work in a AP1 like a natural '06(working DBW etc.) Has anyone ever swapped in a '06+ into a AP1 and getting everything to work without having to switching out anything in the engine? For example, I was thinking about switching out the entire wire harness inside the car and in the engine bay and installing all components(ECU and DBW Throttle system) from a '06. If anyone has done this before, any help would be appreciated.

You need a standalone among many other part swaps to make it work.

With the motor you have in your car, and the new DBW motor you bought, you have everything you need to swap this into your car. It is not that hard. but configuring a Non-DBW car to be a DBW car is no small task. To install a DBW motor into a Non-DWB car to work as a Non-DBW motor is the easiest way to do this.

Yeah, I guess I'll just do that. Converting everything else is too much of a headache. It's just that the engine looks too brand new to take bits and pieces out and reassembling it. Thanks for the replies.
