I have the harness - if you unplug the VAFC and harness from the ECU, does the settings on the VAFC reset? Or are the original settings always saved on the VAFC? Such as, if I plugged everything back in, would the VAFC still be on the settings they were before I unplugged it?

It should save the settings... But i am not sure.

 

You can probably look in the manual, or on apexi's web site. I am pretty sure all the settings are stored in "flash" memory.

 

if all the above is not true, then you can just copy down the setting

 

The settings are definitely saved when power is disconnected from the VAFC. So you can plug and unplug it as much as you want.

I took my VAFC off to sell, but I changed my mind about selling it. I planned on putting it back in the car and just wondered if I had to "retune" it. Glad to know I don't have to worry about that!
