Default Radiator Core Support

The support I'm talking about is the one pictured here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...post&p=17369564

Is this a critical structural component / chassis stiffener for the car or is it simply there to hold the radiator?

Thanks!

just there to hold the radiator you can remove it and use a v style radiator and intercooler and it doesn't do anything to your handleing.

seeing as how its really untriangulated, I'd assume its there to hold things up. I'm with drhess on this... but I could be wrong!

I cut mine off and rewelded it on to do a v-mount I don't think its part of the stability
