Default Radiotor flush help

Today i flushed my coolant in my ap1 after being flushed i threw in this Preston radiator flush direction said to trow the quart in there and fill rest with water then sealed everything heat the car up n put ac on blast HOT did that then drained it again and threw in the oem Honda fluid drove to work noticed my temp gauge all the way up on the "H" open my hood and the coolant was bowling even in my reserve tank i let the car cooled down then open radiator cap it was low on coolant guess it evaporated so threw in what was left of the gallon everything was good temp was normal but now heater doesn't work

so i go over the manual and noticed i never removed the bolt in the engine forgot the name of it and loosen the other screw i was suppose to...should i re-due da process the right way c if that helps or its something else i did wrong

im just glad i didn't fuk up my engine by overheating omg

Read the third post down. Burping this car is a PITA.

Also, if its all the way to "H" you might have messed something up. If you have an AP1, normally people are reporting that 4 bars = death of the F20. If your car is fine, you are pretty lucky.

personally, I blast the heater on, overfill the overflow, open intake manifold bleeder, keep cap open until tstat opens, fill it up as much as I can, rev the car up, wait till only fluid comes out of IM bleeder, shut it down, fill up the radiator, cap everything up, call it a day.

distilled water does not boil. you must have something other than that in there. Kinda off topic but I used the prestone cleaner stuff and it caused an old leak to start leaking again. Something clogged it up and the cleaner unclogged it. Guess it really does work, but now it had a leak because of it. But after 300 or so mile with only honda coolant in there, it stopped leaking. Does honda have a stop leak mixed in there too?

A couple weeks ago my car overheated.. Temp bar was full. I pulled over and found I had no coolant. Put water in to make it home and did a radiator flush. I gotta burp my car again too bc the heater doesn't work

Haha, well it is partly true. you need a nucleation point for boiling at 100C. If its ultrapure in a really smooth pot, it might not boil til over 115C~

Hmmm. I should restate that. Distilled water shouldn't boil in a cars cooling system. Under pressure it will increase the boiling point which should be well over the cars temp.
