Default Rattle behind passenger seat

I know it is a shot in the dark, but I thought maybe someone has had this same problem. There is a rattle behind the passenger seat that I can't locate. It might be the plastic tub that the top folds into, but the noise is definately coming from behind passenger side seat. Anyone had this problem and if so what was the cause of the rattling?

I got the same problem on my 04. I notice a rattle sometimes when I'm driving w/o passenger. I think its the seatbelt buckle hitting against the door, when I move it seems to go away. Still not 100% sure though.

I don't have the same rattle. The rattle is there with or without a passenger and it seems to be coming from behind the seat.

Check your spare tire tie down wing nut. It might be loose.

My passenger seat just rattles when I dont have a passenger--it sort of annoys me. In fact, my whole car seems to rattle. But the worst is the roof latch on the driver side--it annoys the hell out of me.

It's a very stiff riding car with minimal sound insulation. You'll hear every little rattle.
As for the roof latch, I see you have an '00. There is a TSB for this but I'm not sure if you would still qualify considering the age of the car. You need to install the Hardtop latches in the windshield header. Get some and screw them in with Loctite. This should tighten it up considerably.

I have a rattle just behind my driver's seat. I'm not 100% positive, but I think it started just after I went over a manhole cover with a sharp jounce. Has persisted ever since (a month or so).

Car has had body work done to it, so it might be that. But it wasn't rattling when it first came back from the shop.

Sometimes the rattle is the passenger seatbelt too.
