sorry it's just irritating having to move the same kinds of posts 50 times a day. what's even more amazing is that I put this post up, and 10 minute later someone posts a thread EXACTLY like what I'm talking about NOT posting here.

ARRRGHGHGHGHGHGH
No offense, but have you guys (the mods) considered that maybe the board isn't "organized" well, or the forums aren't named appropriately? Granted there are stickies, but they're not working. You guys are doing A LOT of work moving posts that were posted in the "incorrect" forum to the "correct" forum.

How about a 97th 4.57 gear thread of the week?
Hey, I resemble that remark! At least I asked permission first.

do you consider ANY of the following a "mechanical discussion"

ahem.

what kind of intake should I get?

if I have $300 to spend, what parts should I buy?

which exhaust will give me the most performance?

etc, etc, etc.

not to mention, it happens on all forums, no matter how you lay it out. why? because no matter what you do, people WILL NOT READ ANYTHING past the forum title. people are lazy.

Sorry, that's just NOT true.

People don't even read the thread titles. They don't want to read anything (which is REALLY ironic.) When the same question you have has been asked and answered on the SAME PAGE you are looking at, it's pretty pathetic when you start a new thread.

It happens on every forum I have ever seen. S2ki is not any better or worse. Matt just takes it more seriously than most, so it's fun to rattle his cage.

here's another great example. guy asks questions ABOUT TIRES. and not only that, but he even mentions he's getting them from TIRE RACK. and we have a WHEELS/TIRES and TIRE RACK forum. yet somehow this is a "mechanical discussion" that belongs in UTH?
